Sarah is a qualified acupuncturist (BSc (hons), PGDipAc, MBAcC). This is what she does, in her own words

Having worked as a Radiotherapist in the NHS for 10 years I decided to train as an Acupuncturist. Studies at the Northern College of Acupuncture in York based on Traditional Chinese Medicine gave me a completely new understanding of what it means to have ‘health’ or ‘dis-ease’ and how acupuncture can aid and assist.

Chinese Medicine is a unique system of thought and practice that has been adapted and built upon over two millennia. As a holistic treatment Chinese Medicine notes all symptoms a person is experiencing both emotionally and physically. These symptoms are woven together to give patterns of disharmony which are viewed as an ‘imbalance’ and as such guide the treatment process.

I am passionate about holistic health care and empowering people to recognise their own patterns, thus enabling them to understand and help themselves.

As well as using acupuncture to readdress imbalances, I also believe in the doctrine that ‘food is medicine’. I have a huge interest in the impact of food on health and incorporate this into many individuals’ treatment plan.
