The Feldenkrais Method® is a way of learning about movement, posture and breathing in order to develop our full human potential. When and where did it originate? The method is named after its originator, Moshe Feldenkrais, a Ukranian-born scientist and engineer, as well as respected Judo instructor, who developed his approach whilst working in Europe. Feldenkrais discovered that throughout our lives we take on patterns, both physical and psychological, which become deeply embedded in our nervous systems, however these habits often lose their effectiveness and do not serve us well. Through the Feldenkrais Method® we have a unique opportunity to free ourselves of these habits and explore new ways to think, feel, act and move. • Relief from tension and muscular pain • Easier and fuller breathing • Greater relaxation and well-being • Improved performance in sport, dance, music and drama • Greater ease in everyday activities
